Eco Buggy Tour

Whether at Frédérica or along the Riverine Trail, the buggy holds the promise of an exciting adventure for off-road enthusiasts.  Take an unforgettable ride along rugged tree-lined trails that wind through the reserve to reach either Cascade de l’ Exemple in Frédérica or drive through palm tree plantations to reach the area where Indian Sepoys built their fortification (Abattis) in the 1800s when British forces took control of the Island.

The Route

The Riverline Trail is a 2-hour ride along rugged tree-lined trails that leads to the L'Abattis des Cipayes. Perfect for off-road enthusiasts and for those who are adventurous at heart.  L’Abbatis des Cipayes is the Creole name of the Sepoy camp set up along the Jacotet River to protect the Jacotet military outpost.
