WILD SOUTH TOUR
Come experience the wild South with us. Our first stop is Bassin Blanc, a crater of a dormant volcano which helped in the formation of the island. We then visit another crater lake, and one of the most sacred Hindu places in Mauritius, Grand Bassin. It is the site of the 18m Shivas statue and a Hindu temple. After a scenic drive we get to Le Souffleur, a big blow hole created in the lava rocks on the wild South coast. Our next stop is the Rhumerie Saint Aubin, a plantation and an artisanal rum distillery, where Mauritius’ very first agricultural rum was created. Learn how Mauritian rum is made and taste some of the different flavours on offer. After a delicious lunch here in the old colonial house we go to the most Southern point of Mauritius and Gris Gris, known for its dramatic cliffs and wild seas. We then head up to Chamarel village to see the amazing Seven Coloured Earth and the Chamarel Falls.
